Web premiere: Sugar Soap keep your Summer hangover at bay with 'Time to Come Alive'

After enjoying a fruitful summer period, Darkinjung two piece Sugar Soap are back with an antidote to your seasonal blues.

The lads from Sugar Soap are on to a good thing. After treating themselves to a healthy does of travel last year, The Central Coast two piece turned the proverbial dial; dropping two very well received singles before hitting the stage at Lost Paradise festival over the New Year period.

For an emerging band, it was a dream summer. Now, Sugar Soap are back with their first release of 2025, Time to Come Alive. This one builds on the infectious indie pop sound that brothers Luke and Jordy Mahler have been crafting with recent releases, drawing on bright synths and dreamy vocals to keep your memories of summer burning bright. The band's production quality has taken another step forward with this one, too. Time to Come Alive knows exactly when to pull back or burst to life.

Thematically, the band tell us that this release "explores the turbulence of moving on and serves as a

self-reminder to stop giving attention to fleeting distractions, focusing instead on what truly matters."

We caught up with Luke and Jordy on the podcast towards the end of last year, so go back and give that episode a listen if you wanna hear more about Sugar Soap's journey to now.

After watching the recent trajectory of Sugar Soap, it's hard not to see Time to Come Alive as a bit of a prophecy. All we'll say is watch this space.

Listen to Time to Come Alive below.
